Activation

The process of turning on a Saga Card and putting it in an operational state where it will start reporting the location of a unit it is paired to.

Box opening detection

The Saga Card can detect when the box it is in has been opened, which generates a point-of-use event in the Unit Level Tracking system.

Location reporting

The Saga Card can scan cell tower IDs and submit them to the cloud, where the cell tower IDs can be used to triangulate location.

NFC reader/writer

Equipment that connects to a computer and can activate the Saga Card with a dedicated command.

Pairing

The linking of a Saga Card's Device ID to a GS1 code in the platform.

Reporting schedule

The frequency at which the Saga Card wakes up to report cell tower IDs for location triangulation.

Universally Unique Identifier (UUID)

The format used to create a unique Device ID for the Saga Cards.
