The 2.30.0 release introduces key usability enhancements to the platform. The Account Admin interface look and feel will be updated for better user experience and as a part of this improvement all new audit records will be moved to our new audit record. We are also introducing changes to historical data in order to limit the availability of unused device data in the platform. New features and added support include SSO support for electronic signatures and added configuration to comments and attachments for closed shipments.
Planned new features
We are adding the option to allow adding comments and attachments to closed shipments. This allows you to add further documents to shipments after they have been processed and closed.
This will be configurable, you can turn the feature on or off in the Account Admin.
Customer impact: Low
Signing an action with an electronic signature requires that the user re-authenticates in the platform to confirm identity. This release adds support for re-authentication via Single Sign-On, while previous releases required the user to authenticate with username and password, even when SSO was implemented.
Customer impact: Low
A new Brand Style Guide has been implemented at Controlant, and we are taking incremental steps to redesign all our apps to match the new style.
In release 2.30.0, we will update the following tabs in Account Admin:
Custom properties
Inspection properties
Products
Settings tabs:
Company
Security
SCM

A new audit trail was released in SCM v2.25.0, and since then, release audit records have been stored in both the new and old audit trail. In v2.30.0, we will stop recording audit records in the old audit trail and move completely over to the new audit trail system.
Note
The old system will still be available but will not contain new data.
