To get the firmware update, make sure that the devices are charged, not in a shipment, and have a connection to the cloud.

This release will require partial validation of the device.

New feature

  • The battery cycling feature will help maintain good battery health when devices are serviced in the Controlant Service Centers and will identify devices with potentially sub-optimal battery capacity.

Improvements

  • Improved battery life in low signal conditions by separating syncing to the cloud from registering onto a cellular network.

  • Improved remaining battery capacity estimation.

  • Local DNS caching in case of global DNS outage.

  • Increased maximum button push time from 12 seconds to 20 seconds.

  • More robust AD offset management in the firmware.

  • Other general stability improvements.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug that caused some devices to lose their configuration.

  • Fixed a bug that caused some devices to resend old data after rebooting.

  • Fixed a bug that sometimes caused unexpected reboots due to stack overflow.

  • Minor fixes affecting logging of parameters, development, and device production.
