Customer specified unique IDs

The Controlant Integration API master-data relies heavily on reference IDs to identify each piece of template data.
All ReferenceIDs are generated and supplied by the Customer and must uniquely identify the piece of data in the Controlant system.
Note
When you create items via the SCM UI there is no check for whether the ReferenceID is unique. This check is only performed when you create items via the API.
