Creating a new location

In the Supply Chain Monitoring platform page, in the Locations tab, click Create a Global location.

The Create location pop-up appears.

To set the name for the location, in the Location Name box, type the location name.

To set the reference for the location, in the Location reference box, type the reference.

If you want to set a description for the location, in the Location description box, type the description.

To set the contact information of the site, in the Contact Information area, do the following:

1. If you want to set the first line of the location address, in the Address line 1 box, type the first line of the address.

2. If you want to set the second line of the location address, in the Address line 2 box, type the second line of the address.

3. If you want to set the third line of the location address, in the Address line 3 box, type the third line of the address.

4. If you want to set the postal code for the location address, in the Postal Code box, type the postal code.

5. If you want to set the city for the location address, in the City box, type the city.

6. If you want to set the state or region for the location address, in the State/Region box, type the state or region.

7. To set the country for the location address, in the Country list, start typing the name of the country to filter the list and select the country.

8. If you want to set a phone number for the location address, in the Phone number box, type the city.

To set the location for the location, do one of the following:

1. If you have entered a full address above, and you want to geocode the address, click ATTEMPT TO GEOCODE.

   Note

   This may not work for all addresses.

2. If you want to locate the location in the map, in the map, zoom in to the location and click the location.

3. If you want to add the Latitude of the location, in the Latitude box, type the latitude of the location.

   Note

   If you have already found the address using the map or geocoding of the address, this should already be correct.

4. If you want to add the Longitude of the location, in the Longitude box, type the longitude of the location.

   Note

   If you have already found the address using the map or geocoding of the address, this should already be correct.

To set the radius of the location, in the Radius list, select one of the following:

1. XXS (250 m)

2. XS (500 m)

3. S (1 km)

4. M (3 km)

5. L (7.5 km)

6. XL (15 km)

Click Create Location.

The New location created confirmation dialog appears.

If you want to add a storage unit to the site, click +Add storage.
